Important Note:
Act-fx comes in two separate editions for 32-bit Excel or 64-bit Excel
(the former running under either 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Windows).
Please ensure that you download the correct edition corresponding to the version of Excel that you have installed. The 32-bit and 64-bit editions are not interchangeable.
Act-fx Installation Downloads
NOTE: there are no longer separate ‘new installation’ and ‘update’ setup downloads. From version 5.3 there is now one installation setup for the 32-bit edition and one installation setup for the 64-bit edition.
Licensing
For Act-fx to load you will need to have an Act-fx licence pre-installed. Existing installations will already have an Act-fx licence.
Installations on a new computer will need to run the Act-fx licence installation set up which will require input of a licence key for activation.
The licence key can be your existing licence key from a previous computer if transferring your licence. Licence keys for new users (including trial licences) and additional keys for existing users can be obtain on request from Actuarial Solutions Ltd.

Download notes
- You may choose ‘Run’ or ‘Save’ depending on the options given by your browser.
- If you choose ‘Run’, the installation program will start automatically after it has downloaded.
- If you choose ‘Save’:
– if the file does not default to your downloads folder, specify a convenient location
(for example your Windows desktop);
– double click on the file to start the installation. - There may be pause in the display of messages after the ‘preparing to install’ message but please wait and the installation will continue.
- Software downloads have been virus checked and signed with the code signing certificate of Actuarial Solutions Ltd.
